How to Export Audible Bookmarks and Notes?

After bookmarking and taking notes in Audible, it's better to know how to export your Audible bookmarks and notes, right? Thanks to some volunteers on Github, I will share an easy way to export your Audible bookmarks.

Note: This method only helps you access and export Audible books downloaded via the Windows 10 Audible app. So please ensure that you have downloaded your Audible books first via the Audible Windows 10 app. For bookmarks on Audible Android, iOS or cloud player, there is no way to export them.

Updated 2023:Audible has discontinued the Audible app on Windows 10.

Step 1. Download and unzip AudibleBookmarks.v0.11-beta.wpf.zip.

Step 2. In the unzipped folder, run AudibleBookmarks.exe. The app should automatically detect the file that Audible Windows 10 app uses and display them at the left column.

If not loaded, click “Load Audible DB” and navigate to Audible database file which are ususally stored here:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\AudibleInc.AudibleforWindowsPhone_xns73kv1ymhp2\LocalState\library.db

Items with green stripes are downloaded and have bookmarks accessible, red ones are not downloaded.

Step 3. Click the books(with green strips), and you’ll see the clips and books are shown in the right column. Then click “Export Bookmarks” and your books marks will be exported in text file.

I've been looking for this capability for years! BUT after Step 1: I do not see the db file that Audible win app uses; and cannot find it in the "Packages" directory you list below. I've searched for "library.db" in Packages - BUT there is nothing there. Is it always a file called "library.db"?

Step 2. ... The app should automatically detect the file that Audible Windows 10 app uses and display them at the left column. (running this does not detect the audible library)

If not loaded, click “Load Audible DB” and navigate to Audible database file which are ususally stored here:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\AudibleInc.AudibleforWindowsPhone_xns73kv1ymhp2\LocalState\library.db
(unfortunately - I do not find a file called library.db...)
