I have a Kindle Paperwhite which I bought 3 years ago. I didn't use it for a long time, so I forgot my password. Now I am stuck on accessing the kindle due to "incorrect passcode". So What should I do now?

Important: Resetting your Kindle or kindle fire removes all content downloaded to it. Any content you purchased from Amazon is saved to your Kindle Library in the Cloud and remains in the Cloud. You can download that content again if you register your Kindle/kindle fire to your account again.

Method 2. Tap Reset kindle fire to factory settings.

1 Enter an incorrect password or PIN five times. You will be prompted to reset your device or wait 30 seconds to try again.

2 Tap "Tap here to factory reset" to reset your device to factory defaults.
