Libby Downloader is a Firefox extension that allows for download audiobooks from the Libby website.
Before proceeding, ensure you have audiobook loans in your Libby library and are using the Firefox browser. Below is a general guide on downloading OverDrive audiobooks to DRM-free MP3 format.
Step 1Download and Install Firefox Browser.

Step 2Add Libby Downloader Extension to Firefox Browser.
You can find the Libby downloader from Firefox Extension Store. Simply click on the Add to Firefox button to add the plugin to Firefox browser.
Step 3Navigate to an Borrowed Audiobook on Libby to Begin.
Open the Libby Downloader extension by clicking on its icon located in the upper right corner of your Firefox browser.
Upon clicking the Libby Downloader extension icon, you will redirect you to the libbyapp.com site to locate your audiobook loans. Navigate to your Borrowed works and select Audiobooks to access your audiobooks.
Step 4Open the Libby Downloader Extension to Download Audiobook
Open an audiobook within the libbyapp.com directly, then open the Libby Downloader extension and click the download button. This action triggers the extension to gather the content information and begin downloading your audiobook.
Once finished, it will combine all the chapters into one single MP3 file. It then compresses the MP3 file along with a .cue file, which contains chapter boundaries in relation to the merged MP3 file.
