Libby is a popular platform that lets library cardholders borrow digital content—ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines—for free. Step 1Sign in to Libby
Open a browser and visit libbyapp.com. Sign in with your library card by selecting your library and entering your credentials. This links your account to Libby, giving you access to its digital collection.
Step 2Borrow an eBook
Browse your library’s catalog, select an available ebook and click “Borrow.” If it’s unavailable, place a hold and wait for notification. Once borrowed, borrowed books will appear on your Shelf until the loan expires.
Step 3Download EPUB from libbyapp.com
On your Shelf, click Read With… next to the borrowed book. Under More Options, choose EPUB. This will download an .acsm file—a DRM-protected license that must be opened with Adobe Digital Editions (ADE).
Note: This download option is only available for ebooks (not magazines).
If your Libby eBooks don't show a "Read With" option, you can go to settings > Read books with...
Then select I have no preference. The "Read With" option should now appear.
