Amazon Music lets subscribers download playlists for offline playback in its mobile or desktop app. However, these downloads are encrypted cache files that can only be played within the Amazon Music app and will expire once your subscription ends. In this guide, we’ll show you how to download Amazon Music playlists for offline listening and personal backup.
1. How to Download Amazon Music Playlists on Your Phone and Computer
The process of downloading Amazon Music playlists on mobile or desktop is almost the same. Here’s a quick guide:
1. Open the Amazon Music app on your iOS, Android, PC, or Mac device and sign in.2. Go to Playlists and select the one you want to download.
3. Tap the Download arrow icon or the three dots next to the playlist name.
4. To download an entire playlist, select Download. The app will queue all tracks.

Tip: To download individual songs within a playlist, play the playlist, tap the three dots next to a song, and choose Download.
Once the download is complete, go to Library > Downloaded to access your songs for offline playback.
Notice: Downloaded songs are encrypted and playable only within the Amazon Music app. If you want real audio files (MP3, FLAC, WAV, or AAC) for unrestricted playback, Amazon doesn’t provide them due to DRM protection. However, you can legally convert your streamed songs for personal use with specialized software. Keep reading to learn how.
2. How to Download Amazon Playlist as MP3 or Other Formats
If you want to permanently export playlists as standard audio files (e.g., MP3) for use on any device, Amazon's official downloads won't work due to DRM protection. You'll need a third-party converter tool like Epubor AmzMusic Mate. It converts tracks while preserving quality and metadata.
General Steps Using Epubor AmzMusic Mate:
Step 1Download and Install Epubor AmzMusic Mate
Step 2Choose Region and Output Format
Go to Settings and select the Amazon domain that matches your country. Click OK next to the region section box, then click OK again in the pop-up prompt to apply the change. Next, choose MP3, WAV, FLAC, or AAC as the output format and click OK to save the settings.
Tip: You can skip this step if your Amazon account is registered at www.amazon.com and you want to export in MP3.

Step 3Sign in to Your Amazon Music Account
First, click the Sign In button in the upper-right corner of the program.

Next, enter your Amazon credentials to log in to your Amazon Music library.

Step 4Download Amazon Music Playlists as MP3
Open any playlist, and a Download button will appear in the lower-right corner of the program.

Click the Download button to open the download window. Select the songs you want, then click Download again to start converting them to MP3.

Once the download is complete, the output folder will open automatically, containing all your converted Amazon songs.
