A .lcpa file is a protected audiobook package based on the Readium Web Publication / Audiobook standard. It contains audio resources (typically MP3 files), a manifest, and LCP DRM protection metadata for licensing and copyright control. Here’s what’s inside a .lcpl file:

This guide will show you how to remove the LCP DRM from .lcpa files and download them as standard MP3 files.
Step 1Upload the .lcpa File
Download the LCP DeDRM source code to your computer, then unzip the file and open the lcp-dedrm-html with Chrome browser. Next upload your .lcpa file, and enter the correct passphrase.

Step 2Decrypt the LCPA File
Once the file is uploaded and the passphrase is verified, the Decrypt button will turn blue. Click it to remove the LCP DRM protection.

Step 3Download the Decrypted File as MP3
Once decryption is complete, the Download button will become active. Click it to save the file.

The file will be downloaded as .webpub by default.

Simply rename the extension to .mp3. Then you can play the MP3 files on any device you like.

Tip: Extract Individual MP3 Files
If you want access to the separate MP3 segments: Rename the downloaded .mp3 file to .zip, then extract it. You will get a folder containing all the individual MP3 audio files.
