3. Update

Step 1. Download and Install Android Simulator

Download Android Sumulator--LDPLAYER9 and install it on your Windows.

Download LDPLAYER9 from its offical website

Then click Settings icon at the top-right corner >>Other settings>>Enable "Root permission" and choose "Open remote connection" for ADB debugging.

Finally click on "Save settings". A new window will prompt, asking whether you would like to restart LDplayer. Click on " Restart now" button to restart this Android simulator.

Step 2. Install Kindle for Android on the Simulator

After launching Android simulator again, download and install Kindle apk to your Windows computer and the drag it to your Android simulator.

The kindle will be transferred to Android simulator and installed automatically.

Step 3. Download Kindle books to Android simulator

Click the Android icon on simulator to start it, then click on "Start Reading" button, and sign in with your Amazon account. Once signed in, click "All items" to show all books in your Kindle library.

Click the book cover to download your kindle books.

Now you've downloaded the kindle books successfully. Please note that even the books published in 2023 can be downloaded in this way.

Step 4. Convert kindle books to drm-free pdf, epub, azw3, text or docx

Launch Epubor Kindle Converter. If you still have not installed it, please download and install it now.

   

Your downloaded Kindle books will be detected and listed on the left side.

Simply drag them to the right side. Then, click the down arrow icon next to the "Convert to XX" button to reveal more output options. Select the one you need and click on "Convert to XX" to initiate the conversion.

Once the conversion process is completed, the "✓" will appear at the end of the book title. To explore the converted drm-free kindle books, you can click the "Open" button in the top area.

Step 1. Download and install the Android Simulator --Genymotion to your Mac.

Download and install it to your Mac. In this process, both "Genymotion" and "Genymotion Shell" will be install. Please drag both of them to "Application" folder.

Step 2. Configure Genymotion.

1 Launch Genymotion and you'll be redirected to the login page. Click on "CREATE ACCOUNT" to generate a Genymotion account.

During the account creation process, please ensure you choose "Gaming" as the Usage type.

2 Go back to Genymotion app, and login with your account information. Then choose "Personal Use" and click on "NEXT" button.

Then tick "I have read and accept the end user license agreement" and click on "Next" button.

3 Now you can click the "+" button at the top-right corner to add virtual device. In the prompted new window, select "Custom Phone", and then click on "NEXT".

In the Virtual device installation window, please select "9.0.0" as the Android version.

Please click "NEXT" in the software and follow the instructions on the screen, using the default settings, to set up the Android simulator.

Once the setup is complete, a notification will inform you that the device has been installed. You will be able to see this device in the device list. Click "Play" button to start this Android simulator.

Step 3. Install Kindle for Android on Android simulator.

Download Kindle for Android version 4.16 and then drag it to the Android simulator to install it.

Step 4. Download Kindle books.

Launch Kindle for Android and sign in with your Amazon account. Please type in your account email and password. Note that the copy and paste function is disabled.

After logging to Kindle, click the book cover to download your kindle books, including the books published in 2023.

Step 5. Decrypt and convert kindle books.

Launch Epubor Kindle Converter, and click "Refresh" button to display all your downloaded kindle books in the left side. Then drag them to the right side and choose your target output format by clicking the down arrow icon at the central bottom. Then click "Convert to XX" to start the conversion.

Once the books have been successfully converted, you can click the "Open" button located at the top corner to open the folder where all the converted Kindle books are stored.

Part 5. How to use Kindle Converter on Mac (M1/M2 Chip)

To use Kindle Converter on a Mac with an M1 or M2 chip, you need to install Google Android Studio to assist you in downloading Kindle books. Follow the steps below carefully to successfully convert your Kindle books to EPUB, PDF, or AZW3 formats.

Step 1. Install Google Android Studio.

Go to Android Studio official website, and click on "Download Android Studio Flamingo" button.

In the prompted window, you'll see "Download Android Studio Flamingo | 2022.2.1 Patch 1", scroll down to check "I have read and agree with the above terms and conditions" , and then select "Mac with Apple chip" for your Mac to start the download.

Then double click the downloaded installation package and follow the on-screen instructions to install it on your Mac. Choose Standard as the setup type and click Next.

Then, select Accept to accept the Terms and Conditions and click Finish.

Finally, the setup process will continue and complete within a few seconds. Once finished, you'll be ready to install the first Android emulator.

Step 2. Install Android emulator.

Then you'll see the welcome page. Click "More Actions" and choose "Virtual Device Manager" in the drop-down menu.

Then click "Create device" button in the new window.

Then configure your virtual device. Choose "Phone">> "5.1WVGA " >>"OK".

Then select the Android system image for your emulator. Click "Other Images" tab, scroll down to find the correct image:

You need to download the image first, click the "Download arrow" to download the image first and install it.

Once finished, you will see your Android Virtual device configuration in the new windows, and just click on "Finish" button.

You'll go back to "Device Manager" window, here click "Play" button to launch the Android emulator.

It may take a few minutes to launch the Android emulator, so please allow it some time and wait patiently.

If any warning message pops up reminding you that "Running an x86 based Android Virtual Device(avd) is 10X faster", please just check "Never show this again" and click on "ok" button.

Step 3: Install kindle for android on Android studio.

Download the Kindle for Android from the above button and then drag & drop this apk to your Android emulator.

Once Kindle for Android has been installed successfully, you will go back to home screen of your Android virtual machine. And you may not find the Kindle app on the home screen. To find it, please click "Get to all your apps" button.

Click the kindle app to launch it, then login to it with your Amazon credentials.

Step 4: Download Kindle books.

Now you login to your Kindle app. To download the kindle books, just click the book cover.

Step 5: Remove kindle drm and convert kindle to epub, pdf, azw3 and more format.

Now launch Epubor Kindle Converter. Click on "Refresh" to load your downloaded kindle books. Then drag and drop the books to right column, then click "Convert to epub" to convert kindle books to drm-free pdf
