2. Register
To register Epubor Kindle Converter and unlock its full functionality, you will need to purchase a license for the software.

Once you have completed the purchase, you will receive a confirmation email that contains your order information. Cllick the yellow key icon at the top-right corner to pop up the registration widnow, and then input your licensed email and license code into the program to register it.

3. Update
When a new version is released, a notification will appear in the bottom-right corner, as shown in the picture below. To update Epubor Kindle Converter, simply click on the version number and download the latest version to your computer.
4. Uninstall
On Mac:
Open Finder >> Applications >> find Epubor Kindle Converter>> right-click it >> choose Move to Trash.

Step 1. Download and install the Android Emulator --Google Android Studio to your Mac.

1. Can I install other versions of Kindle for Android?
Answer: No, you cannot. The only Kindle for Android version you can use is customized version we recommened in this post. Please click the button above to download the correct Kindle for Android.
2. After the installing, I cannot see the Kindle on the homepage of the Android device?
Answer: In some Android device models, the Kindle icon will not display on the home page. In such cases, try clicking and holding the mouse, then swipe from the bottom to the top to reveal all installed apps. You should be able to locate the Kindle app there.
Step 3. Launch Epubor Kindle Converter.
Before downloading your Kindle books, please launch Epubor Kindle Converter first. Keep Kindle Converter running while you download your Kindle books. This is a key step to successfully decrypt your Kindle books.
Step 4. Download Kindle books.
Launch Kindle for Android and sign in with your Amazon account. Please type in your account email and password.
After logging to Kindle, click the book cover to download your kindle books, including the books published in 2025.
Note: Please ensure your Kindle books are fully downloaded before removing the DRM. A checkmark will appear on the cover, and the books will be displayed under the "Downloaded" tab.
Step 5. Decrypt and convert kindle books.
Click "Refresh" button to display all your downloaded kindle books in the left side. Then drag them to the right side and choose your target output format by clicking the down arrow icon at the central bottom. Then click "Convert" to start the conversion.
Once the books have been successfully converted, you can click the "Open" button located at the top corner to open the folder where all the converted Kindle books are stored.

Frequently Asked Questions on Mac Kindle ConverterQ: How do I remove Kindle books from the Android emulator and the left panel of Kindle Converter?
A: To remove books from the left panel of Kindle Converter, you must first delete the downloaded Kindle books from the Android emulator. Open the "Downloaded" tab in your Kindle library, then long-press the left mouse button until a checkmark appears. You can select multiple books by repeating this process. Next, click the three dots in the top-right corner and choose "Remove Download" to delete the Kindle books from your Android emulator. Finally, return to Kindle Converter, click the "Refresh" button, and the books will disappear from the left panel.
Q: There are no books displayed in the left panel of Kindle Converter, only the number of Kindle titles?
A: Usually, clicking the "Refresh" button will display your downloaded Kindle books in the left panel of Kindle Converter. If you only see the number of Kindle titles but not the book list, please restart Kindle Converter and then click "Refresh" again to fix this issue.
Q: Convert Kindle books failed!
A: There are two ways to fix this issue.
Solution 1: Open the book in Kindle for Android, then try removing the Kindle DRM again.

You don't need to change the path. Kindle Converter is a different software, don't use it with the Kindle app for PC and Epubor Ultimate.
What you should do is to ensure that you enable the "Root permission" of LDPlayer9, and restart it to take effect. Then run again Kindle Converter, and wait for your downloaded books show under the "The Kindle Library". You can try to reinstall LDPlayer9 and Kindle apk, and configure the settings by following the user guide.

After launching the software, the left side of the screen shows the name of the downloaded Kindle file.
How can I prevent these files from appearing on the screen? I have pressed the [Refresh] button many times and they have not disappeared.

It allows you to search for the book you want to decrypt and delete the files from the left pane in Kindle Converter. But don't run the Android emulator when you delete the files, if you want to delete the files permanently from the left pane, please delete the downloaded books in the Kindle app for Android inside the Android emulator.

My LDPlayer shows this books, I can read it, but there is no option to download. Clicking on the book will open it.

Got Android Studio installed on my Windows 11 computer. I used this one because LDPLAYER9 was doing something that my virus software and malware software didn't like. Set up the 5.1_WVGA_API_23 device just fine. Ran it. No problem. Dropped the APK onto it and it started to install. Got the error message ISTALL_FAILED_NO_MATCHING_ABIS. Any ideas how to get around this? Do I need to set up a different virtual device since I am on a windows machine?

Then restart the Android emulator and redownload your Kindle books. Go to the Kindle Converter and click "Refresh" to see if all of your 11 books are listed correctly.

I did that several times. Yes, it's the correct version 4.16 and yes, I enabled root on the emulator.

please note you can only install the older kindle for android 4.16, the new version is not supported.

However, after following all of the instructions, I still cannot remove it. I can use the new software for existing books (which I could have done without purchasing the new software) but when I try to download the book in question, it tells me that I need a newer version of Kindle software to download the book. The book is a Pearson e-textbook. What can I do?? If your new software cannot do the job, then I would like to request a refund.
I cannot download book. The error provided by the Kindle app in the emulator states:
"Book not available on this app version"

The method using LDplayer9 on windows 10 works properly (tested several time).
All the books downloaded in the kindle app running in LD9 player player (+ all the necessary configuration steps described in the page : root permission, etc...) are afterthat visible in Epubor Kindle Converter (latest version used).
However, I observe now that for some books (bought recently), the conversion in epub, pdf... is systematically unsuccessfull : conversion process is blocked (several attemps done for the same books).
This issue happens in conversion batches where other kindle books are converted, on their side, without any issue...
Is-it a knwon issue ?

I have installed kindle converter. It is showing exclamation sign and conversion is failing. I have tried both steps(Solution 1: Open the book in Kindle for Android, then try removing the Kindle DRM again., Solution 2: Remove the Kindle book from your device, re-download it, and then try converting it again.) But problem is still same. Conversion is failing.
I have also successfully installed the Pixel 6 Pro Android Emulator.
When I try to convert, there is no "down arrow" to choose the format.
Also, the conversion is failing. It shows the exclamation sign. (I am using the trial version).

Works! Make sure to read BOTH "How to Set Up Android Emulator on Mac" and then "Epubor Kindle Converter User Guide".
Its quite a series of steps to be able to do all of this, but if you're patient and read all the (on-point) instructions/guides, it works great. This is the only solution I've found to be able to actually convert your books to epub and I couldn't be more happy.
